Method 7: Multiplication with Legos

What is it? 

Allow students to use Legos to explore multiplication. Make multiplication seem like play rather than work.

Variation 1 - Equal Groups

Use Legos as manipulatives to represent equal groups that can be used to model multiplication.

Variation: Use mini erasers and felt circles if you don’t have Legos.

Use Legos as manipulatives to represent arrays. They are already designed in an array format. ​​

  • Legos of varying sizes
